The action of 4 Italian tourists, who left without paying the bill in a restaurant in Berat, has caused a great stir in Albania and Italy.
Due to the numerous reactions and the insistence of the media to contact the owners of the bar, the latter have taken a stand on social networks.
They thanked the Italian Prime Minister for paying the bill, while they indicated that they will keep the money as a memory and against the evil eye.
Albanian and Italian journalists and TV channels have contacted us, but we have not allowed any interviews. Those Italian tourists who left without paying have given us a lot of publicity for our city. Let's thank them! We already said that this was not a problem since the Italians are at home, many of them come as our family members to Italy when we emigrated. We hope they enjoyed the food. Hopefully they spent that money on something nice!

But this is not a matter of money for us and we are very touched by her gesture! A great example of dignity from a good strict mother who sets an example in her house! Great Georgia! We love it very much even as half Italians that we are! He honored us by coming to Vlora Valona on vacation!
