
A serious incident occurred today in Maliq where 45-year-old Eduart Çarçani was found lifeless on the railings of the surrounding wall of an uninhabited house in the village of Plasë in Maliq.
It is suspected that while intoxicated, he attempted to enter the courtyard of an uninhabited apartment, but while climbing, his shirt got caught on the railing, causing his fatal suffocation.
Regarding the incident, residents of the area said that the victim was an immigrant in Italy and had returned to the village after divorcing his wife.
They said the 45-year-old was unemployed and had a problem with alcohol. According to them, the house in which he was found hanging belonged to Fejim Agolli, which was maintained by his brother-in-law.
"The house is uninhabited, there is no one there," one of the residents of the area told the media.
"He lived more in Italy, he didn't live here. He came a while ago, he had his own problems. He drank a lot. He had lived in Italy for many years, with his mother, sister, aunts. The house where he was found hanging belongs to Fejim Agolli, there is no one there, his brother-in-law takes care of it. The house is uninhabited, there is no one there," said one of the residents of the area.
"Eduardi is a good, perfect boy, he knows his own business, we don't know anything. He had a mother here, he stayed for a while and then went to Italy. He didn't work, he only drank raki," said another resident.
