Two women have lost their lives after a road accident that happened this morning in Patridha of the North in Greece.
The event happened at 9.40 am, at km 6 of the road network that connects Veria with Skydra.
The two women, a 68-year-old and a 20-year-old Albanian identified as Elisa Doka from the Tërbuf and Divjakë Administrative Unit, according to testimonies, were waiting at the bus station, when, under circumstances that are being investigated, a car hit them driven by a 64-year-old man, who lost control of the vehicle, causing it to go off the road.
According to the Police, the two women were sent to the Veria hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle has been arrested.
The 64-year-old driver, who was allegedly unwell and because of this lost control of the car causing the accident, was arrested, while a case of manslaughter was filed against him.
