One of the protesters who spoke on the 17th day of the protest against the Rama government declared that the 15-kilometer march towards Rinas was evidence of the great citizen dissatisfaction with the government.
Referring to the police's handling of the march's organizers and participants, he said that the government should reflect on the reasons that prompted thousands of citizens to walk for kilometers in the middle of the night.
"We are proceeding with the march for the first two days. There were thousands of people who marched 15 kilometers in the middle of the night. Do the government officials understand that the citizens have come to their senses?" the protester said.
According to him, citizens of different ages participated in the march, including the elderly, young people, and family members, arguing that the participation was not simply political, but a broad civic reaction.
He also emphasized that the protest is attracting the attention of local and international media, while calling on students and citizens to provide their proposals for the continuation of the protest.
"We are proceeding with the first two-day march. There are many people who say that that long march was wrong and they have the right of God to say so. But there are many lessons to be learned. The government said the people were deceived. Yes, they were deceived, by you for these 35 years. There were thousands of people who marched 15 km in the middle of the night. Do the government understand that it has come to you right in the nose. The people had grandmothers there. They were not militants. There were girls, boys, men who decided to march. Even those who are against have a right. The presence of local and international media will be strong. There are people who feel unrepresented. Students can collect handwritten letters to write how you want this protest to continue. We have shown the whole world how we protest. We march with hundreds of thousands of people and we do not bother anyone. From the people who yesterday no longer knew hope, a people who no longer know fear has been born." - said the protester.
