The Special Prosecutor's Office has come out with a short reaction regarding the arrest of the former deputy of the SP, Jurgis Çyrbja. Since it was initially stated that he was arrested for a lawsuit filed by MP Edi Paloka for abuses when he was the director of Hipoteke, SPAK states that it is not only related to him. According to the prosecutor's office, 3 charges have been filed against him.
" Based on the great interest of the media, we inform you that the State Police has today executed the security measure of arrest in prison assigned by the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime against the citizen Jurgis Cyrbja, as a suspect for committing criminal offenses of "Active corruption in elections", provided by article 328 of the Criminal Code; "Supporting the author of the crime", provided by article 302/1/2 of the Criminal Code, as well as "Trading of state secrets by citizens" provided by article 295/1 of the Criminal Code. Tomorrow there will be a press release with more details ", announced SPAK.
According to the information, Çyrbja appeared on Sky Ecc's interviews and that is why the charge of "Supporting the author of the crime" was raised.
