New details have come to light from the suicide of 27-year-old Sibora Abedini two days ago in Kamez.
The police informs that the young woman jumped from the fourth floor terrace and as a result lost her life, because an intimate photo of her was shared on social networks.
Meanwhile, sources for Euronews Albania inform that the 27-year-old lived on rent in Kamëz, just like the arrested author.
The young woman was the mother of a child while she was married to a Kosovar citizen. Although they had problems with her husband in Kosovo, she was expected to be reunited, but the publication of the photo with Altin Çok has caused trauma to the young woman who was thrown from the terrace of the palace on Saturday evening.
Altin Çoku was arrested for this incident, as he was the last one to share the intimate photo on the social network "Tik Tok". The 39-year-old is accused of the criminal offense of "causing suicide", while he had a previous record.
In this regard, the lawyer Eranda Gjonaj, in an interview for the show 'Good Morning Albanians' on Euronews Albania, said that Çoku could be sentenced to 2 years in prison.
Among other things, she emphasized that prosecutors and experts should deal with the details of the event and go to the end of the case.
"The maximum that Altin Çoku can be sentenced to is 2 years. Criminal offenses are punishable by a maximum of 2 years, and are also subject to fines. Prosecutors, experts and the Court must do their job," she said.
