Opinionist Aleksandër Çipa commented on the 2025 parliamentary election campaign. He said that Prime Minister Rama has built a successful electoral machinery.
Chipa added that on the other hand, Berisha is going to the elections simply with his myth as a politician. According to him, the PD is heading towards the elections with a predetermined loss in its pocket.
"The meetings of Prime Minister Edi Rama's government are to build an electoral strategy. Although PD is headed by Mr. Berisha, it seems that it is difficult for him to play the role of the main opposition, also because of the measures taken by the new justice against him. We have created the perception that Rama pays attention to facades. However, Rama has built a successful electoral machine to maximize vote absorption. His domains hit the nerve points. Rama is responding to the diaspora vote with a strategy. The Prime Minister requests that through the direct influence that mayors and heads of districts have, they can activate Albanians in the Albanian diaspora, mainly in Europe. Edi Rama is a politician who studies his electorate quite well. "Rama is studying when there might be a seismic shock in the party and the prime minister does not want internal party problems", said Çipa for "News 24".
According to Čipa, DP is heading towards a predetermined defeat.
"The trial against Berisha and Malltez may seem political now. Today we only have SPAK, which has eclipsed everything else in justice. Many have said that the accusations are also political. I think that Berisha is trying to increase his myth as well. Berisha is going to the 2025 elections simply with his myth as a politician. DP is headed for a foregone defeat. The Democratic Party should bring an electoral construction before the 'game', that is, the elections. An opposition can create rallies in the center of Tirana, but it does not give the desired effect. The opposition cannot demand a technical government, as it has no nationwide effect. The opposition needs to create trust among the people", said the analyst.
While, when asked about the issue of the mandate of deputy Xhaçka, the analyst emphasized that this issue can cause electoral costs, but adds that Rama has weighed everything quite well.
"It was necessary for the majority of the SP to move towards a more professional reasoning. The Socialist Party did not make an interpretation, which means that Xhaçka has not fallen into a conflict of interest. This then gave way to what the majority wanted to give in public. This issue can cause electoral costs, which I believe Mr. Rama weighs ," Çipa said.
