Tonin Gjuraj was elected the rector of the University of Shkodra yesterday. He was declared the winner over two other candidates, after the students' votes were read.
While in all other universities the verbal process has been completed, in Shkodër the commission is not convened to make the winner official.
The Institutional Election Commission of "Luigj Gurakuqi" University is not meeting today, as it was planned, to announce the results of the rector elections, Top Channel reports.
After the officialization of the voting results in the 6 faculties, KIZ should only make the final calculations and announce the winner as rector Prof. Dr. Tonin Gjuraj, the deans, the Senate and so on.
Today in the building of the Rectorate, it is not possible to achieve the necessary quorum for the meeting and decision-making of the KIZ.
Reasons are still not needed, while even yesterday Tonin Gjuraj accused of irregularities in the election process. According to him, in yesterday's elections there was bias in the process.
