The situation in Myanmar, hit by a deadly earthquake, remains alarming. In both Myanmar and Thailand, night has descended, making rescue missions difficult. Drone lights are being used to provide light for ongoing rescue operations.
Two buildings were evacuated overnight in Bangkok, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration said, with over 2,000 more to be inspected by volunteers tomorrow.

This follows the collapse of an unfinished building, which has left six dead and around 100 others still missing.
Rescue workers have been aided by drones and sniffer dogs in an effort to find those who are missing - floodlights have enabled the search to continue into the night.
In Myanmar, the death toll is currently at 150 - with hundreds more injured, an army official said.
Aid workers have highlighted challenges in reaching people. Doctors Without Borders has said there is "significant loss of communication in some of the worst-hit areas."

A spokesman for the UN refugee agency, UNHCR, in Myanmar says the organization is still trying to understand the full extent of the earthquake damage, but is ready to provide assistance - including shelter and household items - "as soon as safe routes to Mandalay are secured."
