Two ships have passed through the Strait of Hormuz, marking the first naval movements since the announcement of a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran.
According to data from the maritime tracking platform MarineTraffic, the Liberian-flagged ship "Daytona Beach" was the first to pass through the strait, at 08:59 am, shortly after departing from the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas.
Then, at 10:44, the Greek-owned cargo ship "NJ Earth" also made the crossing.
These movements are considered a first indication of the return of activity in one of the most important global energy transport corridors, following recent tensions in the region.
The Strait of Hormuz is a key point for international trade, especially for oil and gas, and any development in this area has a direct impact on global markets.
