Tragic balance in Morocco/ Over 1,300 dead and 1,800 injured, rescue operations continue

The balance of victims caused by yesterday evening's earthquake in Morocco continues to grow. According to local authorities, the number of people killed by the earthquake has increased from 1,037 to 1,305.

Also, the balance of injured people has increased to 1,832 people, from 1,204 that were reported earlier today. About 1220 of them are in critical condition.

A French citizen has been identified among the dead, an official of the Foreign Ministry confirmed. The victim, whose name has not been released, died of a heart attack during the earthquake.

Experts have predicted that the death toll will continue to rise as rescuers reach deep into hard-hit areas and search efforts continue.
