According to Putin, the purchase of Greenland would cost the United States approximately $200-250 million.

The situation around Greenland does not concern Russia. This is what Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared.
"Regarding Greenland, we are not at all concerned about what is happening to it," Putin said during a meeting with members of the Russian Security Council on Wednesday.
Speaking about a possible solution to the Greenland issue, linked to US President Donald Trump's idea of putting the island under American control, Putin made an analogy to Russia's purchase of Alaska from the US in the 19th century.
According to Putin, the purchase of Greenland would cost the United States approximately $200-250 million.
"We have experience in resolving similar issues with the United States: in the 19th century, I believe it was in 1867, as we know, Russia sold Alaska to the United States and the United States bought it from us. And if my memory serves me well, the area of Alaska is about 1,717,000 square kilometers.
The United States bought Alaska from us for $7.2 million. These figures need to be verified, of course, but I think this is about right. At today's prices, taking into account inflation over all these many decades, this figure would be $158 million. And the area of Greenland is a little larger, I think 2,166,000 square kilometers. That's a difference of about 449,000-450,000 square kilometers.
If we compare this to the cost of buying Alaska from the United States, the price for Greenland would be somewhere around 200-250 million dollars. But I think the United States can afford even this figure. And the main thing is that Denmark and the United States have experience in this regard.
"I believe that Denmark sold the Virgin Islands in 1917 and the United States bought them. So this experience also exists. By the way, Denmark has always treated Greenland as a colony. Denmark treated the island quite harshly, if not cruelly. But this is a completely different issue; it is unlikely to be of interest to anyone right now. But it certainly does not bother us. I think they will resolve it among themselves," Putin said .
