A few hours before the ceasefire, the Israeli army kills the top commander of Hamas

The Israeli army (IDF) announced that it had killed the commander of Hamas' naval forces in Khan Younis, in an airstrike in the Gaza Strip today.

According to an IDF post on Platform X, Amar Abu Jalalah was killed along with another member of Hamas' naval forces. Jalalah was reportedly a high-ranking member of Hamas' naval forces and was involved in leading several terrorist attacks foiled from the sea.

The airstrike was carried out following information provided by the Shin Bet security service, the Directorate of Military Intelligence and the Navy.
