Although wanted internationally by Interpol, Marko Milosevic, the son of the infamous former president of Serbia and former Yugoslavia, Slobodan Milosevic, has appeared in public for the first time in 20 years.
Milosevic was filmed in Moscow during a ceremony to unveil a bust built to honor his father figure. He is seen in a video published on Twitter in the company of Aleksandr Zaldastanov, known as 'Surgeon', associate and close friend of Vladimir Putin and the leader of the group known as "Night Wolves".
Many of the people present didn't even recognize Marko, while others say that over the years he looks more and more like Slobodan Milosevic.
According to Blic.rs, Milosevic's son looked very different compared to the last available photos from more than 20 years ago, clearly older and grayer.
Meanwhile in the video, which lasts just under 50 seconds, Zaldastanov introduces Milosevic's son, with Marko then addressing the crowd repeating his father's words written on the monument.
"As it is written here, we were, unfortunately, a test of what happened to Russia and what is happening now in Ukraine. The Yugoslav wars are the same. Unfortunately, we lost the battle, but I hope we didn't lose the war. For our mistakes and our luck, the Russians learned a lesson and we will win! Victory", said Marko Milosevic while standing in front of the Serbian flag.
He has not appeared in public since the fall of his father's regime on October 5, when Marko fled to Russia after being indicted on suspicion of involvement in organized crime. On October 7, he left Serbia and went to Moscow via Beijing, where he was granted political asylum.
Since then, there has been little information about him, while it was rumored that he ran a profitable business in the Russian capital and that he had remarried.
There is an arrest warrant for him from Interpol in Serbia, according to which he must be arrested if he is ever seen in the country.
