The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has announced that he will retire from politics at the end of his term in 2027.
Speaking as a guest on 'TV Prva', he invited people in his government to take advantage of his popularity and project himself as the future leader, as he stressed that he is looking for a successor.
In this context, he mentioned Prime Minister Ana Brnabiç and Finance Minister Siniša Malog as people prepared and capable of holding this post.
“ Guys, you should take advantage of my popularity! I have no intention of dealing with diplomacy tomorrow, I have other things to do. I'm sick of politics. But take advantage of it and send me to China or the Emirates once or twice a year. I am very popular there. You'll never have someone from here as popular as me. It's just that people won't say it. And compared to the legendary Bata Živojinović in China, the popularity of me as president of Serbia, not Aleksandar Vučić, is greater than anyone else , "Vučić explained, reports Danas.
