The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the explosions that killed more than 100 people and injured dozens more at a memorial service for Qassem Soleimani in Iran.
The news was confirmed by the organization itself in a post on social networks.
Earlier, Iran accused Israel and the US of being involved in the attack near the grave of Qassem Saleimani, who was killed four years ago by a US strike in Iraq.

Yesterday's two bombings occurred, not coincidentally, on the fourth anniversary of Soleimani's death, the attackers apparently keen to inflict as many casualties as possible, knowing that crowds would gather in the area for the anniversary.
