The publication of hundreds of pages of documents from a trial related to Jeffrey Epstein following an order of a US court has stirred the world.
The pages of the documents did not lack well-known names that had acquaintance with the billionaire accused of abuse and trafficking of minors, even though there was no concrete accusation or suspicion against some of them.
Some of the published documents also mention former US presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, although neither has been accused of anything illegal, according to The Independent.
Donald Trump's spokesman, Steven Cheung, has reacted after the publication of the names, claiming that all hints about Trump's relationship with Epstein have been "completely debunked".
Trump and Epstein were reportedly friends, and Trump told New York magazine in 2002 that he had known Epstein for 15 years and that he was a "great guy."
He also flew on his plane several times, although he distanced himself from the comments after Epstein's arrest and said they "hadn't spoken in years."
Clinton spokeswoman Angela Urena also responded by saying that nothing has changed since the former White House chief of staff issued the statement about Epstein in 2019, stressing that Clinton "knows nothing" about Epstein's heinous crimes.
