Emirati air defenses say they have neutralized hundreds of missiles and over 1,500 drones since the start of the conflict.
The Emirates announced that air defense systems have intercepted a new wave of missiles and drones launched by Iran.
According to a statement from the UAE Ministry of Defense, air defenses shot down six ballistic missiles, seven cruise missiles and 39 drones that were launched from Iranian territory on March 11.
Authorities stressed that since the start of what they call "Iranian aggression," the country's air defense systems have neutralized a total of 268 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,514 drones.
The Ministry of Defense also stated that these repeated attacks have caused casualties and damage in the country's territory. According to authorities, six people with citizenship from the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh have lost their lives, while 131 others have been injured.
Authorities stressed that air defense systems remain in a state of full readiness to face any new air threats and protect the country's territory and strategic infrastructure.
The latest attacks and interceptions come at a time when tensions in the Persian Gulf region and the Middle East continue to rise, as conflicts and clashes between Iran and its allies with other states in the region are escalating.
