Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he has imposed new sanctions against Russia, focusing on individuals involved in the Kremlin's government structures and the plundering of occupied territories.
He added that special measures also affect a Russian military intelligence officer, tax collector and Putin associate. Kiev will also act against Russian publishing houses that propagate and justify Russian aggression globally.
"I have signed new sanctions against Russia, and this time they are specific sanctions. These decisions affect individuals working in Putin's government structures and those involved in the plundering of temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories, one of his tax collectors, a Russian military intelligence officer and an associate. Kiev is also initiating actions against Russian publishing houses engaged in justifying aggression and spreading Russian propaganda around the world ," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on X.
Zelensky also said he is not afraid of Donald Trump and dismissed suggestions that their recent meeting in Washington was volatile, adding that he has good relations with the US president.
