Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia used nearly 90 unmanned drones for attacks overnight. "Our fighters managed to neutralize most of them," he wrote on social media.
Zelensky said Russia had targeted the Donetsk, Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Dnipro regions overnight.
He added that two people were injured in Dnipro and rescue efforts are continuing in Kiev. Zelensky stressed that Putin attacked at a time when the US and the whole world are calling for peace.
"Once again, the Russians are attacking civilians at a time when the whole world and above all the United States are calling for peace. We hear President Trump's position to end the killings and have agreed with all proposals to unblock diplomacy. But it seems that this position is not being heard in Russia," Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian president also said large-scale deals for drones and weapons procurement are "on the table."
"Decisive action is needed so that Russia also agrees to diplomacy ," he concluded.
