The head of the Ukrainian army, Oleksandr Sirsky, has stated that the Russian pressure has intensified in recent days.
He writes on social networks that Russia is attacking with all possible means, trying to break the defense of Ukraine. Sirsky says that the war is very fierce and is leaving behind hundreds of victims.
"The war is extremely tough", he says.
On the other hand, the Netherlands has given permission to Ukraine to use the F-16 fighter jets on Russian territory, which it donated some time ago.
Ukrainian pilots have been trained on how to use the F16s by Western partners for months.
