Details emerge from Germany knife attack. At least 17 people were injured in a knife attack at Hamburg's main train station this afternoon.
According to police, 4 of the 17 injured people are in critical condition, while the rest have received minor injuries.
Some of the injured received first aid on the train, while others were immediately taken to hospitals.
The bloody incident occurred on platform 13/14, around 6:00 p.m. Meanwhile, a 39-year-old woman was arrested at the scene by police.
Authorities suspect the woman acted alone. The motive for the attack or the identity of the 39-year-old woman has not yet been revealed.
A witness to the attack said: "Luckily, I wasn't wearing headphones, so I heard everyone screaming. Then everyone ran away."
Hamburg's main train station is one of the busiest in Germany, with over 500,000 people passing through it every day. Friday afternoon is one of the busiest times.
