The United Nations Security Council has strongly condemned the recent attacks against the Qatari capital Doha, but did not mention Israel in the statement adopted by the 15 members.
Israel aimed to kill Hamas political leaders in Tuesday's attack, escalating the military operation.
The United States, which usually serves as Israel's shield at the UN, supported the Security Council statement that can only be adopted by consensus, reflecting Trump's displeasure with the attack.
"The unilateral bombing of Qatar, a sovereign state that is working hard and courageously to broker peace, alongside the United States, does not advance Israel's or America's interests. That said, it is inappropriate for any member state to use this to question Israel's commitment to returning the hostages home ," said U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Dorothy Shea.
Qatar's Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahmanal-Thani accused Israel of trying to undermine efforts to end the war in Gaza, but vowed to continue the mediation effort.
"The attack on our territories when we were busy with negotiations revealed Israel's intentions. It is trying to undermine any prospect for peace. It is trying to increase the suffering of the Palestinian people. It also shows that the extremists who lead Israel today do not ask about hostages ," he said.
Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, emphasized the position that there will be no safe haven for terrorists, wherever they may be; in Gaza, Tehran or Doha.
