The terrorist attack in Moscow, the number of arrested goes to 11

A Moscow court has issued an arrest warrant for a man from Tajikistan in connection with last month's terror attack on a Moscow concert hall, bringing the total number of people arrested in the case to 11.

The Basman District Court ordered Sharifzoda Zoir to remain in custody pending trial until May 22, charging him with an unspecified terrorist offence.

She did not provide further details in the statement published on April 5. Zoir is the 11th person to be detained or arrested in connection with suspected involvement in the March 22 attack, in which more than 144 people were killed. Four citizens of Tajikistan are accused of entering the concert hall shortly before a concert began and started shooting at people indiscriminately, and then set the building on fire.

Of the 11 men detained, 10 are from Tajikistan, while one is believed to be a Kyrgyz-born Uzbek who holds Russian citizenship. Dozens of other people remain missing, fueling rumors that the death toll from the attack could be much higher. This was the worst terrorist attack in Russia in the last two decades. An affiliate of the extremist group, Islamic State, claimed responsibility for the attack, while authorities in Tajikistan are questioning a large number of people, mostly relatives of the suspects, as part of the investigation into the attack. Still, the Kremlin has insisted, without any evidence, that Ukraine, with the help of the United States, is responsible for the attack.

Kiev and Washington have denied these accusations. The attack has been described as a major failure of the Russian intelligence and security services. The United States said it provided specific information to Russia in advance, warning it of a possible terrorist attack. It is reported that Iran had also warned him before the attack happened.
