The center of Tel Aviv appears to be facing increasing pressure on the 16th day of the war. Shortly after 1:00 PM, air defense systems in central Israel were activated again, but according to a video published by protothema.gr, they failed to completely prevent the strike.
According to the report, the rocket hit in the heart of Tel Aviv, very close to the central market and the area where some of the city's largest hotels are located.
A protothema.gr journalist, who was on the terrace of a hotel in the city center, described the moment of the attack. He said that as soon as the alarm siren was heard, the streets and shops immediately emptied.
" As usual, when we hear the sirens we try to cover them from open spaces during the day. One such place was the terrace of the hotel where we were staying. With the first sound of the siren, the streets and shops emptied and we were left alone to film the air defense interventions ," he reported.
According to him, this time the difference was the loud whistling sound of the missile or a fragment of it, which was rapidly approaching the ground very close to where they were. The sound of the crash was also heard immediately, indicating the proximity of the impact.
Meanwhile, in Jerusalem, a fragment of an Iranian missile hit a residential building used by the United States consul in Israel, Israeli media reported.
