Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (Pasdaran) announced that it had carried out a series of 54 missile strikes against targets in Israel. According to the force's public relations department, several types of ballistic missiles were used in the operation, including the Khorramshahr with two warheads, the Khyber-Shakan, Qadr, Emad and, for the first time in Operation Sadeq Promise, the Sejjil solid-fuel strategic missile. The news was reported by BBC Persian.
The Seyyil missile is a medium-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile that uses solid fuel, making it faster to prepare and more difficult to neutralize before launch. Its range is estimated at around 2,000 kilometers, and it can reportedly travel the distance from Iran's Natanz nuclear facility to Tel Aviv in around seven minutes.
Several other missiles in the Iranian arsenal were also mentioned in the attack:
Khorramshahr – heavy long-range ballistic missile with the capacity to carry multiple warheads.
Khyber-Shakan – a more modern ballistic missile with a range of about 1,400–1,500 km, designed to penetrate air defense systems.
Qadr – improved version of the Iranian Shahab-3 missiles, with a range of over 1,500 km.
Emad – ballistic missile with a more advanced guidance system that aims to increase the accuracy of the strike.
According to the Revolutionary Guards' announcement, the use of these missiles was part of a series of strikes on targets in Israeli territory during the operation called "Sadeq Promise."
