Iran has again blocked the Strait of Hormuz and warned that it will withdraw from the ceasefire reached yesterday if Israeli attacks on Lebanon continue. This seems not to have been taken into consideration by Israel, as the Israeli army announced that it had launched a new attack on Beirut on Wednesday evening.
The Israel Defense Forces said in an initial update that they had targeted a Hezbollah commander in the Lebanese capital a short time ago. The attack took place in the Tallet el Khayyat area of Beirut, according to Lebanon's National News Agency.
Video posted on social media shortly after the latest attack appears to show extensive damage to a multi-story building, with crushed vehicles and debris strewn across the street below. In one separate video, large clouds of smoke and gray dust can be seen rising from the scene.
Earlier today, the IDF carried out what it described as the largest wave of attacks across Lebanon since the start of this conflict, claiming to have hit 100 Hezbollah command centers and military bases.
