In a communication with the media, the spokesman of the IDF, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari says that Israel is well prepared against the attack of Iran.
"We have prepared for various scenarios in advance. To intercept these drone launches, we have defense circuits from both the navy and the air force in several layers," he adds.
He explains that it will take several hours for drones to reach Israel and sirens will sound if any area is under threat.
"We will try to prevent them from reaching Israeli territory, that is our duty," he says.
All Israeli forces are on "full alert", the Israeli army said.
Hagar said dozens of fighter jets were in the air as part of a state of alert.
School trips and other youth activities planned for the coming days, the start of the Easter holiday, have also been banned by the Home Front Command.
