Authorities in Qatar have arrested ten people suspected of links to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The state-run Qatar News Agency reported that security forces uncovered two cells suspected of operating on behalf of the Iranian military force.
According to authorities, seven of those arrested were tasked with spying on Qatari military installations. They are suspected of gathering information about sensitive security bases and facilities.
Three other people in the group are suspected of having sabotage missions. Investigators said they had received training in the use of drones and operations aimed at damaging strategic infrastructure.
During the operation, authorities seized coordinates and locations of sensitive objects, communication equipment, and technological devices suspected of being used for espionage activities.
