" The US and its regional allies are preparing for some major assassinations and new bombings, and are confident that no political, military or economic center will be targeted within American territory ," a senior Iranian official said on Friday.
But a warning has been issued by a member of Iran's Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, Hassan Rahimpour Azghandi, who has stated that those who order attacks and killings in Iran will not be able to sleep peacefully in their homes.
"If war breaks out again, the Islamic Republic and the Axis of Resistance must strike all targets with force. It cannot be that for weeks or months, assassinations and bombings occur in Iran, while the leaders of infidelity and warmongers sit calmly and safely in their palaces, ordering fire without paying any price," said Hassan Rahimpour Azghandi.
His statement followed the deaths of 14 members of the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), who were killed during an explosives disposal operation in Iran's Zanjan province, according to the provincial IRGC.
The IRGC's Ansar al-Mahdi unit in Zanjan said explosive ordnance disposal teams had entered a contaminated area to find and neutralize unexploded ordnance left over from recent airstrikes when the deadly explosion occurred on Friday.
