The Kremlin defends Putin's "puppet" in the Balkans!

Since the start of the war in Ukraine, Vučić has refused to take a position against Russia.

The Kremlin has come to the defense of Vladimir Putin's "puppet" in the Balkans, Aleksandar Vucic, after harsh criticism came from the European Union for a planned visit to Russia on May 9.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova criticized the European Commission (EC) for the pressure exerted on the Serbian President, calling the union authoritarian.

" Did the European Commission abandon democracy? If democracy is respected as a principle, then the results of the will of the people should also be respected and not resort to dictatorship ," Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.

According to the Kremlin, such pressure methods resemble the actions of the mafia, blackmailers and "terrorist cells."

" What are these 'black spots' that the West distributes in the form of certain warnings? This is how pirates, mafia, blackmailers and criminals acted ," she wrote further.

Zakharova also stressed that such an attitude towards potential EU members shows the true approaches of Brussels and expressed fear for the fate of states that will be completely dependent on euro hooligans.

Recall that earlier in the day, the EC representative, Guillaume Mercier, said that Vučić's trip to Moscow could have negative consequences for the country's accession to the European Union (EU). Mercier added that the EC's Enlargement Commissioner, Marta Kos, explained to Vučić the consequences of his visit to Moscow.

On April 16, Vučić announced that he was facing great pressure over his decision to travel to Russia for Victory Day, but would not cancel the visit. He added that he had agreed to travel to Moscow because Serbs were proud of their participation in the victory over Nazism.

It is worth noting that since the start of the war in Ukraine, Vučić has refused to take a position against Russia, while he has not imposed any sanctions on Moscow and has not condemned Russian aggression. Vučić has long been playing a two-goal game between the West and Moscow, and this has proven successful so far.

On the other hand, the EU tried a "soft" strategy towards Belgrade, trying to draw it towards itself, but this was exploited by Vučić to continue his two-goal game undisturbed.
