The Hamas government has announced that three journalists have been killed in Gaza. Among them, is Hamza Wael Dahdouh, one of the sons of the head of Al Jazeera in the Strip, Wael al Dahdouh, who has already lost many of his family in Israeli bombings.
Hamza Wael Dahdouh and Moustafa Thuraya were killed while driving to cover a story in Rafah, while a photojournalist, Ali Salem Abu Ajwa, died in an airstrike in Gaza City.
The Hamas government in Gaza has issued a statement calling on press and media unions, legal bodies and human rights organizations to condemn this crime and denounce its repetition by the occupier.
According to Hamas, Israel deliberately killed journalists to "terrorize" colleagues into stopping reporting from Gaza.
