Horrific footage has been released from Bondi Beach in Australia, where two people opened fire, recording 10 fatalities so far, while many others are reported to have been injured.
Australian media reported that as one of the suspects opened fire near the Campbell Parade car park, a passerby moved towards him. As the shooting continued, a man wearing black trousers and a white shirt used parked vehicles as cover, moving carefully into the car park.
When he approached within striking distance, the citizen charged at the gunman, knocked him to the ground, and engaged in a physical struggle with him, until he managed to snatch his weapon and paralyze him. Then, pointing the weapon at the perpetrator, he forced him to retreat to a neighboring bridge, where a second accomplice was suspected.

According to the video description by local media, the citizen then leaned the gun against a tree and left the scene, while another person chased the fleeing suspect and threw an object at him.
According to the same information, one of the perpetrators was arrested and is in critical condition, while the second was killed by police fire. Local media report at least 10 dead and 12 injured. A rabbi is among the victims.
It remains unclear how many bystanders were injured, with authorities confirming that two police officers and a child are among the injured.

Authorities described the incident as “ongoing”, urging people to evacuate the area immediately. According to local radio, up to 20 shots were heard, while an eyewitness told a local newspaper: “I saw at least ten people on the ground and blood everywhere.”
New South Wales Police said investigations into the circumstances and motives of the attack were ongoing.
