Turkey tests the “Tayfun” ballistic missile again, Ankara sends a

Turkey has conducted another test of its Tayfun ballistic missile, giving clear signals about the continuation of its military and technological developments in the defense sector. According to Turkish media reports, the missile was successfully launched and hit the target with “complete accuracy.”

This is the next test after the one conducted at the end of October, within the framework of developments related to the deployment of the "Tayfun" system, which is currently in mass production and distribution for military use.

The Turkish state-run Anadolu Agency reports that tests of the missile are underway in several variants and that the "Tayfun" holds the record as the missile with the longest range ever produced within Turkey.

Turkish Defense Minister Haluk Gorgun said the Tayfun had crossed another threshold, expanding “the horizon of national security and strengthening the country’s deterrent capacity,” adding that Turkey is constantly adding new systems to its defense arsenal through domestic and multi-faceted solutions.

In a symbolic statement on Turkish social media, Gorgun described this achievement not only as a technical success, but as the "peak of national pride" that reflects the work of engineers, the dedication of youth, and the determination of the Turkish people.

The Tayfun missile is seen as a key part of Ankara's new strategy for military self-sufficiency and increased regional influence, bringing increased concerns to Greece, Cyprus and other NATO countries that view the increase in Turkish combat capabilities with reservations.
