Now that the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin from the crash of the plane where he was with 6 other influential figures of the Wagner group, has been confirmed by the Russian authorities, hypotheses are coming to light about what caused the plane crash.
Last night's posts on Wagner's Telegram accounts accused Russia's traitors (indirectly Vladimir Putin) of using Moscow's air defense system to shoot down the plane.
Hypotheses range from engine problems to a surface-to-air missile strike, but former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele has another theory.
It is rumored that the plane passengers were given a crate of wine which later exploded, according to him he stands and has strong credit.
“Of course it's an inside job, I suggest it was a bomb planted in a wine crate. This is a kind of ironic end for Putin's former chef," the expert told Sky News.
So, in St. Petersburg, where Prigozhin was born, wreaths of flowers have begun to be placed in honor of his figure outside the headquarters of the Wagner Group.
Prigozhin seems to be a beloved figure for many people in St. Petersburg, since he also recruited most of the mercenaries from his hometown.
