Moscow reacts after Trump's 10-12-day deadline for peace in Ukraine...
The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, has directly attacked US President Donald Trump, accusing him of "dangerous games" with Russia.
This reaction comes after Trump's recent statements, who gave Moscow a new deadline of 10-12 days to reach a peace agreement on the conflict in Ukraine, warning of new sanctions in case of failure.
Medvedev sharply criticized Trump's style of issuing ultimatum after ultimatum, warning that this rhetoric is not only a threat to Moscow, but a potential danger to the US itself.
“ Sometimes 50 days, sometimes 10. Trump should not forget two things: First, Russia is neither Israel nor Iran. Second, every new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with his own country ,” Medvedev wrote in “X”.
At the end of his post, the former Russian president and close ally of Vladimir Putin also used an ironic tone, referring to former US President Joe Biden as "sleeping Joe":
" Don't follow the path of sleeping Joe ," Medvedev concluded with a note of sarcasm.
This reaction underscores the heightened tension between Moscow and Washington on the eve of the new deadline set by Trump and shows that the rhetoric of ultimatums is being seen by the Kremlin as a direct provocation.
