Turkey has committed to transporting detained activists from Israel.
The news was confirmed by Turkey's Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, who specified that the Turkish government will make it possible to relocate Turkish activists, but also those from other countries.
According to Turkish media, the detained activists are being transported to southern Israel, to Ramon airport. Israel stopped at least 40 vessels, part of the humanitarian flotilla "Sumud", on Monday in waters near Cyprus. Among them is the Albanian activist Baki Goxhaj.
Turkey is working with all relevant institutions to ensure the safety and secure return of its citizens detained by Israel, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Thursday

In total, there have been at least 430 activists from different countries around the world who were detained and are being held by Israeli security forces, accused of terrorism by extremist Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
A video shared on his X profile on Wednesday caused public and institutional outrage around the world, as top-level officials condemned the shared footage, which showed Israeli authorities' mistreatment and mockery of activists, including by Minister Gvir himself.
The mistreatment of activists was condemned by various governments around the world, while Spain has warned that it will take formal steps to ask the EU for sanctions against Minister Ben Gvir.
Israel's ambassadors to European countries were summoned after footage released by the minister showed himself mocking activists kneeling on the ground with their hands tied behind their backs.
His actions also drew rare criticism from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who said they were “not consistent with Israel’s values.” A rights group representing the 430 participants from more than 40 countries who took part in the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) called for their release.
The flotilla, which carried a symbolic amount of aid, was intended to highlight the dire conditions for Palestinians in war-torn Gaza. Israel dismissed it as a “PR stunt in the service of Hamas.” More than 50 ships participating in the flotilla set sail from Turkey last Thursday.
