Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is testifying on Tuesday before a court in Tel Aviv, in the trial against him on suspicion of corruption.
Mr. Netanyahu is the first sitting Israeli leader to appear before a court as a defendant on criminal charges.
He is accused of accepting cigars and champagne worth tens of thousands of dollars and exchanging favors with wealthy associates.
Mr Netanyahu denies breaking the law and has called the accusations a witch hunt.
The testimony sessions will last several weeks, which is expected to occupy a significant part of Mr. Netanyahu's time as he faces the war in Gaza, as well as the developments in Syria and Lebanon./ VOA
