The World Health Organization has again raised concerns about the safety of patients, health workers and thousands of people sheltered at Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City. This is after an Israeli attack hit near the hospital shortly before, injuring at least 14 people and damaging the building.
Through a post on the "X" platform, the WHO called on Israel for an immediate ceasefire.
" The vicinity of Al-Quds Hospital has come under relentless and heavy attack today, with Israeli forces intensifying their targeting of the area for more than a week. Heavy artillery and airstrikes from all directions have wounded 12 individuals displaced inside, with four in critical condition. Two more patients are injured, one in the ICU and 35 outside the hospital. Israeli shelling near the hospital is ongoing, increasing the risk of a direct attack. PRCS calls on urgently calls on the international community to protect its teams, around 500 patients and over 14,000 displaced individuals, mostly children and women. WHO reiterates its call for an immediate ceasefire, active protection of civilians and healthcare, and respect for International Humanitarian Law ", the agency said.

We recall that a while ago the WHO issued a report showing that over 100 hospitals or health care centers had been hit by Israeli attacks. But despite the calls of the organization, it seems that Israel continues its counterattack.
