Catholic Easter, Pope Leo XIV: Let us not be paralyzed by evil, wars are

The wars and injustices that affect the world were at the center of Pope Leo XIV's message during the Easter Mass at the Vatican.

The head of the Catholic Church called for humanity not to surrender in the face of evil, emphasizing that "we must not allow ourselves to be paralyzed" by it.

In his speech, the Pope used the analogy of Christ's resurrection, recalling the tombstone that was rolled away to bring light and salvation to the world. According to him, even today humanity faces similar "stones" that symbolize wars and global crises.

The Holy Father emphasized that the world needs the strength of the Risen One to demolish "the graves of wars that destroy the lives and futures of peoples, the graves of selfishness that close borders and hearts to those in need, as well as the graves of indifference that make us insensitive to the suffering of the poor."

At noon today, the Pope is also expected to deliver the traditional "Urbi et Orbi" message, through which he will address believers around the world with his Easter greetings and message.
