Ukraine's government issued some criticism of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko on Tuesday after city officials complained about the condition of shelters.
The government said it had also approved the dismissal of the heads of two Kyiv districts and two acting mayors of nearby districts. It was not immediately clear whether Klitschko, a former boxer, will face any punishment.
Uncertainty over his political future grew after President Volodymyr Zelenskiy criticized officials in the capital over the June 1 incident in which two women and a girl were killed after rushing to a shelter and finding it locked.
Zelenskiy also ordered an audit of all bomb shelters in Kiev after the incident and said staffing changes would be made.
