The Russian defense ministry said military equipment held by the Wagner group would be transferred to Russian troops.
"Preparations are underway for the transfer of heavy military equipment from the private military company Wagner to units of the Russian armed forces," the Russian defense ministry announced.
Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin led a brief weekend rebellion in Russia, sparking the most serious security crisis in decades and raising questions about Putin's grip on power.
But despite the weight of the armed rebellion, Russia's Federal Security Service announced it had dropped the criminal case against Wagner who sought to topple the country's military leadership.
On Saturday, Prigozhin called off his march on Moscow after Wagner's forces overran the city of Rostov-on-Don, and shot down six Russian helicopters and a command and control plane.
