France is almost turning into a state of siege. The French government has taken armored vehicles to the streets while buses and trams have been ordered to stop after 9pm across the country.
It has also been ordered to ban all activities, concerts that require the mobilization of the police and that may present security risks in the current situation in which France is, after three nights of violent protests prompted by the killing of a 17-year-old teenager in car by a police officer.

Why are there riots in France?
These protests come after a policeman in France shot dead a 17-year-old of Algerian and Moroccan origin last Tuesday in Nanterre, on the outskirts of Paris. 17-year-old Nahel was driving a Mercedes without a license. He did not stop at the request of two officers. After the shot, the car drives a few meters and then crashes. The teenager, named Nahel M, died as a result of bullet wounds to the chest, despite emergency help. The officer accused of shooting him has been arrested on charges of murder.
