Netanyahu's 5-point plan for Gaza, what the Israeli Prime Minister warns

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told foreign media that Israel does not want to invade Gaza as part of the recently approved military plan, but only to "liberate the area from Hamas terrorists," while maintaining "overriding responsibility for security."

"Our goal is not to occupy Gaza. Our goal is to liberate Gaza, to liberate it from Hamas terrorists," Netanyahu said at a press conference.

Describing his post-war vision for the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu says: “Gaza will be demilitarized. Israel will have the primary responsibility for security. A security zone will be established on Gaza’s border with Israel to prevent future terrorist attacks. A political administration will be established in Gaza that will seek to live in peace with Israel. This is our plan for the post-Hamas era.”

He also summarizes his "5 principles" for ending the war in Gaza:

"First, Hamas will disarm.

Second, all hostages will be released.

Third, Gaza will be demilitarized.

Fourth, Israel will have ultimate responsibility for security.

And fifth, a peaceful political administration will be established that will not be Israeli.”

"The Palestinian Authority is not an acceptable option, as it has been doing since the beginning of the war, accusing it of inciting terrorist activities against Israel. This is our plan," the Israeli Prime Minister said.
