Rama 'criticizes' Kurti in the eyes of Blinken: Do not use foreign

Prime Minister Rama called on the Kurti government to reflect before it is too late and to consult with the USA for any decision in the future.

During the press conference with the American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that they talked about the situation created in Kosovo and issued some criticisms of the Kurti government, regarding the way it is approaching the problems with Serbia.

He added that the USA is the biggest supporter of Kosovo and stressed that the Albanians of Kosovo should not forget that without them there would not be an independent state of Kosovo.

" Of course we have talked about the region. We have shared the same views and concerns. Albania has a policy of extending the hand of friendship to all the countries of the region. We will invest so that the region goes forward because it is in the interest in the first place, our The USA have been and will be supporters of the recognition of Kosovo, and it is good that Albanians wherever they are from do not forget that without them there would not be an independent state of Kosovo. The interest of the USA in this region, specifically for the smooth running of affairs in Albania and Kosovo, it is not a secondary interest or separate from our interest, but it is an interest to build a future in peace and prosperity for other generations ," said Rama.

Rama criticized Kosovo for the decisions taken without consulting international allies, such as the EU and the USA. According to him, these hasty decisions will have great consequences for the Albanians of Kosovo and for relations with the strategic ally, the USA.

Prime Minister Rama called on the Kurti government to reflect before it is too late and to consult with the USA for any decision in the future. Among other things, he asked Kurti to sit at the negotiating table with Serbia and start the half-left dialogue. Rama also admonished Kurti not to use foreign policy for votes.

"It is in our and Kosovo's interest to progress in realizing all the demands of the dialogue that are not coercive, for Kosovo to give up even a millimeter of its dignity and sovereignty. These requirements make it possible to create a context that elevates the Republic of Kosovo as a republic that requires the support and appreciation of all allies. Even today, after we have discussed, I want to repeat my appeal to the Pristina authorities not to take any step without consulting our strategic allies because it is in their interest and that of our alliance. From unconsulted actions, maybe some votes can be won today by turning the foreign policy into an instrument of the internal policy, but the future is not won ", said Rama, among other things.
