
Bad weather is wreaking havoc in Genoa, Italy. Heavy rains have battered the port area, causing landslides and the collapse of several containers. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
In the Sestri Ponente neighborhood, the storm has also caused problems at the airport: strong winds have removed the roof from a warehouse.
In Valpolcevera, after heavy rains, the Fegino River overflowed its banks, immediately activating the alert plan. Civil Protection, firefighters and local police are engaged at the scene.
The heavy rains that have hit the region since night have caused flooding in Genoa: several underpasses, such as the Brin underpass, via Milano and via Perlasca, have been flooded. To the west, on the Aurelia road towards Arenzano, traffic has been interrupted at times due to a landslide in the Pizzo tunnel area.

A heavy truck travelling on the A10 motorway has crashed and become stuck, bringing traffic to a standstill in the lanes towards Genoa. The section of the motorway has been closed for repairs, with the hope of reopening in the early hours of the afternoon.
