A small plane crashed in Croatia today, killing at least four people.
Authorities said the plane crashed near Medulin, a town on the Istrian peninsula. The Croatian state news agency HINA reported that it was a German plane that had departed from Austria.
Photos released from the scene show the remains of the plane in a field, while police and firefighters were in the area for emergency operations.
Local pilot Nijaz Delic told the Croatian portal Index that the plane "lost control, spinning in the air and then crashed into the ground."
Authorities have not yet confirmed the exact number of people on board. Other details about the circumstances of the accident have not been made public.
