Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Thursday condemned the US naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, saying it constitutes ongoing military action against Iran.
In an English-language post on X, Pezeshkian wrote that the continuation of this blockade and oppressive approach is intolerable.
جهان شاهد رواداری و صلہتلبی یران بوده است. What with the title of naval blockade is currently in progress is the extension of military operations against the nation, which only pays for its independence and independence.

“What is being done under the guise of a naval blockade is an extension of military operations against a nation that is paying the price for its resistance and independence. Continuing this oppressive approach is intolerable ,” he wrote in “X.”
Pezeshkian’s comments come shortly after US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth argued that the Trump administration does not need authorization from Congress to declare war on Iran, citing the ceasefire that went into effect on April 8.
