Seven people, including a six-year-old girl, were killed by a Russian missile after it hit a theater in the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv this morning.
Among the 144 injured people were fifteen children, the police said. While 25 injured were sent to the hospital. Among the victims were people who had celebrated an Orthodox Christian holiday in the church.
A main square and a university building were also damaged during the attack.
The UN called it "abhorrent", while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky vowed a decisive response by Ukrainian soldiers to a "terrorist attack".
