Slovakia's prime minister has said the country may support the European Union's 19th package of sanctions against Russia.
Robert Fico said they are likely to support the package if it sees its demands included in the conclusions of a summit of the bloc's leaders this week.
He spoke ahead of talks with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and said if we look at the conclusions we have reached, I will review them again tonight.
" Maybe I'll tell Merz that we agree with the 19th package ," he said.
The final conclusion adds more detailed references to energy prices and the automotive sector, two of the things Fico has insisted on.
This comes after Slovakia vetoed a new round of sanctions against Russia last week, with Austria also remaining a blocker.
